Hi guys,
sorry to post here on this, I have read many posts on this topic already but feel I have a somewhat unique position. I am racking my brain on the cheapest and easiest trade off at the moment.
I am going to be 95 status credits shy of achieving Platinum for the first time. My expiry date is Jan 31. I have a window of a week in January where I am not travelling elsewhere but will be working so planning on doing a same day return status run on a weekend. I signed up to the current "double status credits" promotion on domestic fares (Qantas.com/double), so figure I only need 50 "real" points, which will be doubled, to hit the target of 100... and don't need to go international in this case.
I am Sydney based.
I think Syd-Adl on a semi-flex ticket is the "easiest" route, but not exactly the cheapest.
What at would you do in my situation?
cheers!
dan
