Status Run (40) to Gold by Feb 2020

Having just completed my recent flights I find myself 40 status credits short of Gold and have until 28th February 2020 to obtain them. Problem is not enough were on Qantas or Jetstar, as to fly direct to Europe from Adelaide one cannot fly Qantas.
Is there a way to obtain these SC's without flying or changing c/c providors.?

Good call. It depends on your projected use (ie travel) of the benefits in the next year or so as to if it is worth it. Having QC membership is fine for ADL and most domestic locations and that may be all you need as Gold gives you pretty much the same - it is only going to give extra benefits in terms of FF earn and on oneworld partners as noted above.
