status credit question from a novice

I thought was a points junkie - but after joining this group I realise I know nothing! I'm impressed.
I need to earn 280 status credits to keep my gold QFF status by end of July. I may or may not do a syd-lon business trip before then - but in case I don't, what's the best run I can make (more locally) to get the necessary credits?
I've been reading some older threads advising on this, but when i go through booking processes, it doesn't tell me how many status credits I will earn. Would love some advice.
