I booked a trip to the US whilst a PS in Oct. While here I'm flying solely on P fares so have already reached SG and will hit WP on the way back.
SG was on my QFF account for about a week when I tried to access an AC in New York. The agent deleted my QFF from the booking and re-entered it, but it still showed up as Ruby. I also showed her my Gold status on my iPhone by logging in through the QF mobile site and the app, but she wouldn't accept that as she claimed she couldn't be sure my status hadn't expired or some bull**** (she claimed that AA resets all their status in February, and I tried to explain to her that mine was in May based on when I first joined).
It also didn't refresh 4 days later at Chicago. Thankfully I have an Amex Plat CC which I used to get in instead. Thought I should mention that all ACs seem to accept the Plat for entry, which also gets 2 guests whereas the SG card will only get 1 guest.
Would a print out of my QFF account have helped? Just thinking of alternatives for others who might be in my position in the future who don't hold a Plat CC.
