Hi,

Newbie here so apologies if I am asking a question that has already been answered...

I am about 30 sc off reaching silver. Am booked on a rtw flight that will get me there but wondering at what point will qf register the change? I am booked on qf29 which goes via Hong Kong and am interested to know whether they will recognize silver status from Hong Kong onwards?

Cheers

Molly, from my experience the status is recognized pretty quickly - though you need to be in HK for a couple of days, rather than simply transiting, for it to come through (usually, 24-48 hrs).

The new status will register as soon as the flight credits and if you are flying on a QF flight then it will like credit that night, but usually the next day.

Thanks.... Looks like I will only see the status change after I have arrived in London then given I am not stopping over in HK. Appreciate your help.

In my recent experience, as above, back from USA/LAX to AKL on QF (booked online with Qantas) for 36 hrs, and going Silver witht he LAX flight, before QF back to SYD, went to Qantas Club checkin on flight to SYD and assumed it updated overnight as OP says.
