Hi everyone,

I was wondering, if anyone is a starcity casino gold member? If there is any benefit and etc? :)

Re: Starcity Casino Gold Membership Benefit

It would appear your main benefits (over the other tiers) would be:

  • Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks
  • Free parking
  • 20% off dining

Re: Starcity Casino Gold Membership Benefit

Thanks for the info.

Do you know how much discount you get on hotel stays there?
and also i noticed there is a platnium membership, how do you get the
card? or they no longer offer it?

I didn’t see a Platinum membership in the link I supplied...

Total Star Rewards offers different levels of membership including Blue, Silver and Gold.

I don’t gamble though, I simply read their website. In the morning other members might be able to give you first hand experience, but I’m not sure of any that gamble. It’s never been mentioned before ;)

I am sorry I just can't see any benefit in belonging to a casino frequent gambler membership!

I don't believe they formalize discounts until they fly you in!

Spruce,
I dont see the point of your comment. Anyway.. i'm just here to find
out if there is any other benefit or freebie things related to the card.

I reported it last night when it was posted, seems the report then got lost?

Though it’s moved now.

An issue with casinos is that they often have unadvertised programs with benefits that include various offers and discounts. So platinum may exist, but if it does, you would need to be in the target market to find out about it.

Sort of, if you need to ask the question you’re not there yet ;)

If you're prepared to put big lumps of money across the tables, then the casinos will look after you with accommodation, meals etc. Such players may spend tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars per hand on the Baccarat tables.

I think we all have a different addiction here. ;)

I was in the Platinum Suite at StarCity only a few weeks ago. Quite a nice reward for those who are "loyal" to them... Great (free) drinks, a heavily subsidised restaurant (with great meals) and great views over Sydney.

The Gold Suite is also ok in Starcity, although Platinum is much nicer.

Now the room people really want to access is the room reserved for the top 30 players of the casino ... It has a beautiful staircase leading up there, and the perks of that type of membership are amazing.

Of course, you need to spend a LOT to get access to any of those rooms - unless you're the guest of someone who does... (I was in the latter category).

The comps are good too if you turnover a lot of money. Limo transfers, loan of Ferraris, reimbursement of airfare, jet transfers, accommodation and a host of other benefits that are known to those who qualify.

To the original poster ureshii_eric, don't stress over members postings, you will find posting on public forums, that people often share their opinions when they know absolutely nothing about the subject matter, express their personal opinion against topics where they have a strong view even though it's not relevant to the conversation, or seemingly post just to increase their post count - in some cases, it adds to the flavour of the topic

I know that at *city, hotel benefits are (frequently un-promoted) often as high as 60 - 70% discount's, a friend is Gold at Star and frequently takes advantage. You also receive frequent unpublished member offers. There is one high roller level above Gold at *city I am aware of, unsure of its name, but guarantees high rollers access - my ex boss had that...

I have Crown Gold, this is due to excessive consumption of all that Crown has to offer including gambling, restaurants and shopping, all of which I collect status credits that lead to higher Crown status.

I get frequent offers of heavily discounted hotel rooms, guaranteed to be when I don't want a hotel in town, restaurant and show offers, I get free drinks at all private areas except the mahogany room which I do not have access to. There are two levels above Gold at Crown I can obtain, they are Platinum and Black.

Oz_mark is 100% correct in saying that you have to spend $,$$$,$$$.$$ to be invited to the high levels although with Crown, not necessarily on gambling - a buying spree at Versace or Prada could net you higher status in one credit card transaction!

Word of advice - gamble with your head, not heart.

munitalP - i stay 90+ nights a year at the Crown Promenade and i have always opted to get QFF points instead of Crown staus points (sic).

What benefits would i get if i opted for the Crown loyalty program instead. I currently get room upgrades and free drink vouchers for each stay.

90 stays a year would leap you to Gold for sure, possibly platinum. I just read on some no-news site you needed to turn over 2+ mil for platinum, crock of sh!te, I am about 1/2 way to platinum status which is mahogany room access (I don't think I'll ever get there though) and I wouldn't have turned over 100K in 12 months.

You would be best talking to a Crown person, 90+ nights is a big spender, and if you can prove to them past and future, I would say with certainty they would platinum you if you approached it the "right" way...!

Good luck

Thanks for the reply - btw the website states "you will earn one membership credit for every 500 points earned in a day" - is one point a dollar spent?

Incidentally - i'm not a gambler - not even a casual punter - i probably put some money on a horse every Melb cup and thats about it & i'm based in Sydney ie parking etc is no value to me.... do you think i should sacrifice QFF points for Crown points.

I think the answer to that is talk with Crown - I would prob not tell them you were not a punter though! See what you can get from them, then only you can be the judge...

The reason I was asking is cause, i got silver membership and they give me
like 2 nights free stay plus food credit at their hotel. So wondering if anyone
who got gold card, if they give you more free stays and discount?

at the moment i get 15% of hotel price.

I know someone who a number of years ago was doing multi-week stays at Crown Towers Mel and was comped Crystal Club access for over 12 months.

As for *City you want the level where they call you up and invite you in for dinner, and then comp it. The casino will gladly spend for high turn.
