Is it possible to book Air New Zealand as *A with SIA awards? I've checked the SIA website and there are no flights listed Per to AKL and vv. Also called on a help line which was very not. Information and suggestions welcome.

Am I right in saying (and not sure if I'm reading the fare rule correctly on VA web ,😨) that if you buy a business ticket on VA , flying ZK, you are not entitled to cancellation without losing the fare cost!! Surely not!

Airpoints members with the kiwibank credit card have been able to buy airpoint dollars outright. You could then book partner awards in J at 1600APD. There's no "sale" like waiting for 100% bonus of points etc. That's been a good deal for people. I've never used it myself but given the relationship with kiwibank is ending, some folks are deciding how many APD they're going to buy for use on partner airlines. They've fixed the partner award search portal as well so it shows more of the partner availability.

For @Disco There is availability in July for J 18,20,23,27,28 according to seats.aero, economy 18th July and 10th August.

Used this exact method to book MEL-SIN in Turkish J and BKK-MEL in Thai J. It cost me 1000APD for each topped up using the kiwi bank card. Sadly, this is not going to last long

Thank you for the info, most appreciated but I am looking later in the year. We tend to book well ahead.
