Star Alliance / EY Status Recognition on VA Codeshare (SQ Metal)

Hi all, I have gold status on Star Alliance (A2) and just wanted to know whether I can avail of priority baggage, boarding and lounge access when flying a VA codeshare on SQ metal. If this is not possible, then could I use my EY gold status for these benefits? I want to credit the points and status credits to my Velocity membership (where I presently have no status). Thanks.

If your flying SQ metal under a VA codeshare then we can rule out EK, they have no relationship with either partner. You should be able to get your Star benefits though, unlike One World it just needs to be an operating member rather than marketed and operated by a member AFAIK.

No worries, it does not change much as EY benefits are only applicable on EY operated flights or VA flights, not codeshares.
