Hi all
Will be travelling with my family to Bali and Thailand.
I have the St George Travel insurance complimentary with my card which I've activated. I believe it is through Allianz Travel Insurance.
Is the general consesus that Complimentary card insurance is fine? or should I be investing/paying for additional travel insurance?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The answer really depends on whether you ( the card holder and family ) have any pre existing health conditions

Read the fine print! Also we recently used Bank of Melbourne cc insurance (essentially the same bank) and you had to register your travel to activate the cover so don't forget that. We paid extra to have a couple of minor conditions assessed. Possibly didn't need to, but seemed worth spending a small amount to avoid arguments down the track.
I have previously claimed successfully with another card's insurance, so I am pretty comfortable not taking out another policy.

Read the PDS carefully to ensure it meets your needs. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with credit card travel insurance.
