I got the card in Dec but still not bonus points. Are they really going to make me wait the 3 months?

' The bonus points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria is met.'

After receiving the card and registering it last week, I received an automated email yesterday spruiking the benefits of the card. It in part said:

Every time you use your Amplify Signature card, you'll earn 0.75 Qantas Points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases. So make sure you link your Qantas membership number to your card today.
Call 1300 489 586 between 8am – 8pm (AEST) to register your membership

I registered my QFF number during the application but I wasn't taking any chances. So I phoned yesterday on the above number. The agent said I'd phoned the wrong area and I actually needed to speak to Qantas! Ummm, no. She put me on hold to check and I was disconnected. This morning I phoned the same number and was told a second time I'd phoned the wrong number. This agent put me on hold to get the "right number" but, two minutes later, disconnected.

Oh, lord.

I assume you kept a copy of your application which will show that you correctly provided your QFF number should there be a dispute in the future. I wouldn't worry about it unless or until a problem emerged in the future.

'Every time you use your Amplify Signature card, you'll earn 0.75 Qantas Points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases.' Hardly something you'd want to spruik about! A very average to poor earning rate considered to other cards.

+1s application submitted and approved subject to income verification etc etc....Email with verification sent.

Received an SMS telling me that they have received a high volume of applications and they are behind in processing.
Aplied 4th March and emailed income verification details same day. Arrived back to Oz today with no word so send SMS witn "status" for update and received the same message as above: "...they have received a high volume of applications and they are behind in processing" :(

Which other non-Amex cards offer a better deal than 0.75 QFF uncapped?

Uncapped was not mentioned previously. I certainly did not refer to uncapped. There are several banks which offer better rates than St George. NAB, Macquarie and HSBC for example, offers a better rate than St Geogre at 1pt per $1.

Not sure how up to date the SMS update is. I got that messsge Thursday evening, card arrived in the mail the next day.

Which Westpac card earns 1 QFF point per dollar? Their black card earns 0.625, increasing to 0.75 in April.
You're right my (significant) mistake. My apologies. For some reason I had thought for Westpac via the AMEX it was 1.25 and the Mastercard was 1 pt. It is as you have stated .625.

I can, however, reconfirm that for NAB, Macquarie and HSBC the rate is 1pt per $1.

I'm in a pickle.

For the purposes of earning the 90k bonus QFF points the "*" says:

Eligible purchases do not include BPAY or BPAY equivalent transactions, fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account.

I had teed up to pay someone's university tuition which would comfortably get me over the $5k. However, the university doesn't accept payments over the counter in person, only through BPay or Post Billpay. So I'm stuck.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you have private health insurance, prepay it for a year. Pay before the end of the month and you’ll avoid the 1 April rate increase.

The Westfield XS giftcard is similar to a standard eftpos card so in theory should work at post billpay? You'll need to find out if the uni accepts multiple payments. Downside is it's $4.95 and the highest value you can get is $995. It has worked for me trying to hit minimum spend before though, and you aren't restricted to any retailer in particular.
