Just applied ... Approved pending verification. Payslips sent.

Look what you have turned me into, Dr Ralph! (In a good way :) )

Wave to me when you are travelling first class :)

I took my first first class international flight yesterday - you'll never want to go back to economy again :)

My QP passes turned up for this card. Don't recall exactly when I requested them, but must be roughly three to four weeks ago. Expire December 2018.

Got my bonus points come through just now.

Time to cancel and request pro-rata annual fee refund... I jokes I jokes...

If you spend on this card anyway, might be worth waiting until after your birthday to collect the 10% birthday bonus points.

I've still received this months after I cancelled my card.

This promo just updated to extend to the 30th March 2017 however it appears you need to be an existing account holder to be able to get the free first year annual fee (similar to WPC).

Re: St george 30k pt no annual fee first year

Might need to set myself up an account and access this offer then. First card for 2017!

Re: St george 30k pt no annual fee first year

Looks like getting the Incentive Account is the best to get (BankSA) as they don't have minimum account balance or monthly account fee. Similar to the Reward Saver from Westpac.

Re: St george 30k pt no annual fee first year

Started an application on 3/1/17 but realised halfway that licence details were out of date so saved it and figured cutoff date would pass before I could get to a branch (as advised when I gave them a call yesterday). However this morning got a call back and told card was approved, on its way - just have to head in when we get it to show new licence. Glad they extended the offer date!! :D

But note that the points are now different.

30,000 for both the signature and the platinum.

Thought it was always that...? When i was looking at it yesterday the signature was 30k points but no need for the existing acc.

I thought they were different point offerings?

I think previously according to the history below it was 60k points but charged annual fee, but from September it was 30k for both Platinum and Signature with no annual fee first year(checked with Google Cache)

Re: St george 30k pt no annual fee first year

The new offer says free for existing customers, did you end up opening an 'Incentive Account', or whatever and did it qualify?

I have a current Westpac card, does that preclude me?

I haven't signed up for this yet as I'm still dealing with Westpac. It doesn't say anything about holding a Westpac card that would exclude you for the deal (that i know of).

I assume, similar to the Westpac deal, if you open a free account with STG/BankSA/BankMelb that you'd quality for the free annual fee as it doesn't say anything about having to own one before the offer starts.
