This is a completely restricted fare. No changes permitted. No refunds permitted (subject, of course, to AU consumer laws, but if flying ex MEL this might require a significant schedule change, which is probably unlikely. The promo states no FF miles earned in UL's program, but it appears the fare books into 'I' class - which is on QFFF's partner earn table. But I dunno if they will block this somehow? I would recommend confirming this if points are important.

Some good bargains MEL-CMB $2600 return per person. Bangkok $2000 return per person.

There are sometimes some ultra cheap business fares ex CMB to the USA which could be combined with this offer. Earlier this year it was USD1700 return to USA on choice of AF/KL/AZ/EY/DL. All except for the EY fare allowed a stopover at the airline hub.

The selling class was the first thing I searched out when researching this. Saw it booked into I but then had the same thought as you in that would the SCs be awarded?

My UL "I" class fares have earned QF points and SCs in the past, so I would assume they still would with this promo? But I guess we don't really know for sure.

Well I've taken up the offer and booked for 3 and the price was still heavily discounted.
Decided to go MEL-CMB-MCT outbound and KWI-CMB-MEL on the return. No restrictions on open jaw it seemed.
Significant layovers in CMB both directions, but with UL covering the cost of a hotel and meals it's a good deal (even if we end up in the Ramada Katunayake yet again). Enough time to head to Colombo Golf Club for a round and a meal actually.

We've used UL J fares to GAN and SEZ last year and all was fine. Best cup of tea in flight too, but only on the A330... silver service tea!

Will probably stop in UAE between Oman and Kuwait and probably take EY to AUH for the VA pooling. Plus I've shown my son Ferrari World and he's suitably excited!

Just a pity they only have London now in the Euro zone, always flew them with them great product and very reasonably price for J travel, but this year went AY and that also is a great product and a lot cheaper than UL.

It was under AUD2400 per adult and under 2K for Master Scarlett, which as a comparison, is cheaper than what a single ticket would've cost in J on EY, EK, QR, SQ when looking at Google flights.
It was so good in fact that I very nearly bought a MEL-CMB-JED / DOH-CMB-MEL flight to go for a fortnight without the family at a different time. Decided not to as I might need to use that period away from work to burn some expiring TK miles on a quick trip into the Sth Pacific on NZ metal.

As I've already banked QF LTG I don't really care whether the SC post for this fare or not, but hope they do as it'll help Mrs S maintain SG.

The other nice thing is that UL fly their A330 to KWI (and DOH & JED) in that region, as opposed to single aisle flights to all other destinations.

Had another thought on this fare: as I'm QF LTG and can earn QF points via cc, might credit to EY to use on advantageous VA routes. Will have to take a look at the numbers.
