Hey all,

So I'm finally getting a chance to try out business class on SQ. Since I could't SIN-IST confirmed after 6 mths of trying I was able to get SIN-DXB confirmed in a day. I'm guessing the J product is the older one on the retrofitted 773 and 330 on SYD-SIN-DXB-SIN sectors and the new one on SIN-SYD on the 773ER.

Any feedback on J on 773 and 330? Apologies if this has been asked just wanted to know as it's my first time on J on SQ.

Both the 773 and 330 have the same regional J product (all the 773's have been refitted). It's a fine product overall, 2-2-2 angled-flat seats, comfortable with a good amount of storage and leg room. The only difference between the two planes is the 773 has slightly wider aisles and an older IFE system (same screens across both though) which has the same content, just a little different to use.

I've done 2 x J flights in an SQ A330 and 1 x J flight on a 773 (as well as one on a 77W). Yes they're angled flat but I think they're about as good as angled flat seats get. I found them very comfortable for sleeping on - the whole seat goes down quite low (i.e. close to the floor) so they seem to be slightly flatter than the TG angled flat J seats and they are sturdier so dont have any kinks or droops like I understand the QF J skybeds have - they're perfectly straight.

I slept just as well on the A330 as I did on the 77W (the 77W you have to sleep on a diagonal and you can feel the bumps in the seat joins). The legendary SQ service, F&B, IFE etc is the same on all aircraft - they're one of the worlds best airlines.

I've only flown SQ, TG and TK J but SQ were easily the best. The Silverkris lounge in SIN is also great.

Thank you both for the info - looks like it will be fun - shame for the lack of internet access :)

Will be a shock coming off SQ and then going on FlyDubai for DXB-IST and Fly Pegasus for SAW-SKP.

I actually like the 330 J cabin. The size just makes it feel very cozy and the toilet arrangement is pretty good too. Perfectly good for day time flying.
