(Mods, please move this question if in the wrong forum - thanks!)

Is anyone who has better access to/understanding of flight stat/historical departure info websites able to advise WTH is happening with SQ2105? As mentioned in the thread title, this is a codeshare ARN-FRA operated by Lufthansa, scheduled departure/arrival 18:55/21:00. We're currently in Sweden and are booked on that flight in a couple of weeks, connecting to SQ325 SIN-FRA and then SQ215 SIN-PER (all flights booked directly with SQ on the one PNR). After transiting through FRA for the first time on the outward journey, and seeing the security checkpoints etc and the possibility of hold-ups in getting from one gate to another, I started checking to see if I could get an idea of what gate/s SQ2105 arrives at /SQ325 departs from, seeing as Lufthansa's rescheduling of this flight (twice) since we booked now leaves only an hour to connect to SQ325 which departs FRA at 22:00.

I was horrified to see the departure of SQ2105 from ARN has been delayed almost every day in the past couple of weeks by around an hour, which will leave us no chance of making SQ325, so I'm now quietly freaking out about missing our flights back to PER. I note it's been delayed again tonight and not due to arrive in FRA until 21:50 :( .

The flights in question are LH805 (to FRA) with the inbound being LH804. The late departure of the LH805 back to FRA seems dependent on delays to the inbound.

There is an earlier SAS flight, departing at 5pm... you could arrive ultra early at ARN and if the LH804 looks delayed, ask to be transferred to the SAS flight. The only problem is you'd need to be ready, with bags, to be loaded on to that flight around 4.30pm at the latest?

You have two other protections - EU261, and because everything is on the one ticket, you will be routed to PER at the earliest opportunity.

Thanks - I see LH804 arrived late last night, but for the previous week or so, it appears to have been pretty much on time (at least from what I can see on Flightstats?) so there must be something else as well causing delays to LH805/SQ2105's departures over the past couple of weeks :(. We will be at ARN by about 3.30-4pm - I don't know whether we would be able to be moved to the SAS flight though. We apparently have to check in at the SAS desks, so it appears neither SQ nor Lufthansa have an actual "presence" at ARN, therefore I don't know whether the SAS check-in staff would have the authority to move us to another flight that isn't an SQ codeshare?

Yes, thankfully it's all on the one PNR so as you mentioned, we're protected in that respect but of course for a number of reasons, it will be a major PITA if we don't make the flight out of Frankfurt. A more "minor" issue I suppose (although an important one for me!) is that we've paid for extra-legroom seats FRA-SIN, which is the only way I can tolerate flying long-haul Y. If we miss SQ325 and are rebooked, we'll invariably lose those seats and the thought of having someone's seatback in my face for a 12-13 flight gives me the horrors!!

Yeah - looking a little more closely you are right. I thought at an initial glance the return flights were sort of delayed depending on the inbound - but that's not always the case. Sometimes the planes are sitting on the ground for two hours causing a delay.

Looking at some other 'review' sites it seems delays out of ARN are not uncommon, sometimes with little assistance being available.

Perhaps an email to SQ? Ask them to move you to a much earlier flight in the day? Most likely they will write back saying something like 'past performance is no indicator of what will happen on your travel day'.... but maybe worth a try?

Yes, I might send an email off to SQ but I suspect their answer will be as you've mentioned - I'll give it a go anyway. There's no other direct SQ codeshares out of ARN that day, I think the only option is their codeshare with SAS (I think) via CPH to FRA that goes at around 6-6.30am. Will see what they say.

I see SQ2105 was pretty much on time (for once!) last night, but then SQ325 must have gone tech and was cancelled! Just have to keep fingers crossed that it'll "be all right on the night" when the time comes LOL.
