I am planning a trip to France and Switzerland in early June and see that Vietnam airlines and SQ have J availability.

SQ only has advantage fares and it clocks at 154k pp. VN can be booked at 90k delta miles pp but its from SYD/MEL and I am based out of BNE.

I flew SQ to India recently and was not mightily impressed by A350 or the service.

Has anyone flown both and provide a honest feedback??

I have enough SQ / Delta miles to cover the trip.

I think the food and beverage aspect of SQ wins comfortably but I actually thought that the VN seats were more comfortable and better sleep wise.
Obviously there are other considerations such as transits, timings etc but I’d say most people would probably prefer SQ for the overall package

Out of the two I would choose SQ, all things being equal, but nothing wrong with VN IMHO!

Honestly, 90,000 SkyMiles on VN to Europe in J is a steal. Given the cost saving I'd be very happy with booking that.
