I'll be flying SYD-xSIN-xIST-ATH on an aeroplan award ticket next year.

Choice has come down to either SQ for the SYD-SIN and SIN-IST (both B777-200) and TK for the last, or one SQ leg SYD-SIN (B777) followed by two TK (B777 for SIN-IST).

For those who have flown both, which would you choose for SIN-IST? For me, the #1 criterion is the bed - size, comfort, layout. There is a difference in connection times, but both tolerable for getting the right bed.

Haven't flown either but I believe that TK is 2-3-2 and I'm not sure that the seats go horizontal.

Unfortunately from what I can see the SQ777-200 is in numerous configurations, some of which are old and not what I'd like on SQ long haul.

TK has proper lie flats... on A330 and 777 anyway... same seat as CA I'm sure... very comfortable even if not herringbone or otherwise angled.

REALLY enjoyed the food too....
