You can’t - but that is what this rubbish is worth - same as the Clonakilla O’Riada Shiraz that they masquerade as a R or F worthy Australian Shiraz. It wasn’t that long ago 2012 RWT was offered if R and F ex AU - others may think these are worthy but I certainly do not.

Ok so I exaggerated a bit but in all honesty who thinks a $50 wine at retail is worth stocking in F cabins on one of the world’s alleged premium carriers?

Over last few years SQ have clearly instructed Wine Panel to to take a scalpel to budget for local wines as evidenced to cheap cough they are now offering. As always YMMV and fill your cellars with these if it’s to your liking.

Why should you wine drinkers be spoilt with more expensive reds? $30 wine is more than enough for pairing with the $5 hawker food they mostly serve up !

I mainly fly Sq J....the hard product is terrible on the A350-900 (actually incl the A380) where you have to sleep at an angle unless you miraculously score a bulkhead. Food is ok if cf to Qf but definitely a stepdown cf to yesterday. Don't know why they bother with BTC from non Sin stations. They usually have 1 Bordeaux red which makes me happy. Their Aussie reds are cheap rubbish. If not for their stake in Air India, they will be making millions with the ongoing ME war.

We need a thriving EK, EY and QR to keep SQ on their toes!

Judging by the amount of vitriol directed at SQ on this thread, they are obviously as poor in their hard and soft product as AI. Clearly nobody commenting above flies them anymore. Hard to know how they can possibly fill more than 140 flights a week out of Australia with such a rubbish product.

SQ's harshest critics are the ones that fly them the most, a bit like footy supporters who tend to be most critical of their own team. (FWIW I am quite critical of their catering sometimes, particularly appetisers, desserts and second meals, everything other than the main course of the main meal, and of their lounge catering, but I'm OK with the diagonal sleeping, when lying down I don't notice so much as I sleep on my side, I do like the width SQ seats offers around the upper body, plenty of space).

They have great crew, but the food is mid-pack, and seating is towards the bottom of the band. Lounges are mid-pack. (F is better.)

It’s their reputation, economy class, and IFE that probably win them es down the back.

I guess I'll always be a bit of a fanboy for SQ as I was in NY on September 11, due to return to my job in SIN a couple days later ex ORD on SQ. I eventually left JFK a week later via FRA on their first 747 out of the US. The service from the airline before, during, and even after the flight was superb. (All the crew had been in NY during those days after 9/11 but they were totally professional.) SQ even followed up after the flight to check on us.
I guess being a TPPS helped. I am still a Solitaire (just) 25 years later.

For us we have been using points quite a bit with some paid J as well. The J fares AU-EU for 4 of us are around $28K, Emirates and the rest are $40K plus.

For that we'll put up with the cheaper wines, small footwell for the feet....Crews are mostly amazing, with the odd poor crew, and that seems to come down to the IFM.

The new J product will be great, if they can do PJ, some better food/wine then it will be great!

Have you looked at getting some of your tickets (maybe 2 out of the 4) via aeroplan? You’d get two returns to europe for $8250 ($4125 each), plus actual taxes. 2 seats in business is easy with SQ to europe, when booking around the time their seats are released.
