My first enquiry and seeking some guidance with regards to a full points booking.
I am only investigating flights at the moment, my actual booking time will still be a few months away (allowing for the 355 days prior release).

I've picked some test dates, entered Sydney to Singapore, ticked 'redeem flights' and I am searching for 3 people. I get options returned indicating it will be from 72,000 points for a saver fair pp each way.

A) if it does not say waitlist, does this mean the seats are available?
B) Clicking through confirms the total points + taxes and then, if I were to proceed, it asks for passenger details.

The ease at getting to this point, has me skeptical given all the stories I have read and difficulty securing seats, so I just want to be prepared for disapointment further along the booking - I am not able to proceed at this point as I have not transferred all of the required points to my krisflyer account yet and it prompts me to proceed with a points+pay scenario.

Confirming I can also see 3 x J SYD-SIN for T-355., but not available at T-354. So you'll need to probably book within a few hours post release at 8am Sin time. And also keep in mind different days of week and season or holidays/events will influence availability.

Note B777 usually more available than the A380. So depends on whether timing an issue, but most prefer the A380 J seats.

Just on the T-355 thing. That should unlock March 30th, but the latest open date is March 28th (T-353).

Twice a year (April and November) there's a lag for about a week while they change inventory for the new season (from NW26 to NS27). Probably that, given the timing?

Singapore Airlines award space is normally loaded 355 days in advance, but twice a year there's a bottleneck. Don't panic, it's only temporary!

and a F flight on return, such a pity only my J from Mel to Sing is the A380
also my BTC: lobster didnt come up as option for the J flight, (not a big deal but surprising)

I would like to fly the later half of this year with 2 in J SYD-AMS as I find Schiphol easy to navigate, trains and car hire all easy. I can see just one or two seats Saver Seats at 141k per leg and Advantage at 181k / leg but mostly they are Waitlist. How likely are Waitlist seats to open up?
Any suggestions from the SQ experts?

I would like to fly the later half of this year with 2 in J SYD-AMS as I find Schiphol easy to navigate, trains and car hire all easy. I can see just one or two seats Saver Seats at 141k per leg and Advantage at 181k / leg but mostly they are Waitlist. How likely are Waitlist seats to open up?

Alternative might be to splurge and book First SYD-SIN return for 714k miles or 2x SYD-AMS one way for 666k. Observation on latter is SIN-AMS is a all-night flight.
Appreciate any suggestions for full or part redemptions 2x J or above to northern Europe from SYD or any off-centre intermediate start cities? I have 550k in points and can add to this or top up another 200k or with cash / cash booking.

I can find bookable BNE-AMS return (Adv outbound, Saver return) in November, for a nice easy reposition option? Depends exactly when you want to go and for how long.
