Only smart criminals cover their tracks - knuckleheads like me will always get tripped up - don't think I have too much to hide here or worry about for that matter.

Sorry, I should have said – it's Beefeater in the lounges, and I think in J/Y?

The F gin (like most things in that cabin) is fine by me :p

I'm with Cruiser - In F / R, all I drink is Champagne and wine.

Just wondering if any metal out of MEL has the NEW "new" J seats - the ones with the reworked foot alcove?
Or out of SIN for that matter on my way to Europe.

SQ 227/228 most of the time is 77WN with new J. A few to Europe also have new J 318/319 to LHR and I think the MUC/MAN also has it

Im on SQ 305/306 sin-Lhr and back. Is this usually new J?

Thanka

305/306 is the PE route to LHR which will also have the new J(2013). Other 77WR routes with PE are to MUC/MAN and FRA The PE fitted A380 still has the old New J(2006). No one is really sure what the A350 going to DUS will have on it yet but I believe the plane is about to be delivered

What about SQ212 out of Sydney? If it shows PE cabin does it mean it has been refurbished with the new J seats?

Yes that is usually the case but not always - 227 SIN-MEL on Feb 6 was 77W - I was quite surprised.

Silly question,

How early can one arrive at the TPR to try a bit of everything? My flight is at 8:40pm.

I recomend any and every item on both menus you desire - you can order anything you want - mix and match off either or both menus - order as many courses as you want.

Yesterday I started with Satay from A then Waldorf Salad from W then soup from W then Rosemary Roasted Lamb from Chef Station Specials Accom with Garden Salad from W - that saw me through - I find it best to just graze - order one course and savour it then 10-15 mins later proceed to next - dep on 227 at 21:20 with full dinner service is just too late to be eating - I'd rather get as much sleep as poss on o/n flts - doing dinner as I did in TPR you virtually replicate a full onboard dinner service but have it in the lounge - you may not get Krug but the 2002 PF Rare is an excellent alt.

TPR open from 05:30 to last pax dep on last flt for that day. Your dep is 20:40 - so the earlier you arrive the more chance to try everything - what time can you arrive to TPR?

As early as you can check in - Theoretically ~24 to 48 hours before if doing an "air-side transit".

FWIW, the most I have done is about 20 hours (got in the day before, had a feed, then went through Immi and downtown, back for breakfast the next day).

Amusingly there was "no problem" with me being there, but they staff were super polite at trying to explain to me that my flight wasn't until tomorrow. I was welcome to stay, but they offered to book a hotel and car transfer for me.

Sorry CE forgot to mention the famous equipement swaps so yes things can and do change. Just copied this from a previous post of mine elsewhere which explains things a bit better

Ok here is the situation as I understand it

Boeing 777-300ER

In Service: 27
Seating 1( what most call 77W): 8F/42J/228Y (2006 F, 2006 J, 2006 Y)

- 9V-SWA
- 9V-SWB
- 9V-SWD
- 9V-SWE
- 9V-SWF
- 9V-SWG
- 9V-SWH
- 9V-SWI
(- 9V-SWO)
- 9V-SWP
- 9V-SWQ
- 9V-SWR
- 9V-SWS
- 9V-SWT

Seating 2(what most call 77WN) 8F/42J/228Y (2013 F, 2013 J, 2013 Y)

- 9V-SWU
- 9V-SWV
- 9V-SWW
- 9V-SWY
- 9V-SWZ
- 9V-SNA

Seating 3(what most call 77WR): 4F/48J/28 PE/184Y (2013 F, 2013 J, 2015 PE, 2013 Y)

- 9V-SWJ
- 9V-SWK
- 9V-SWL
- 9V-SWM
- 9V-SWN
- 9V-SNB
- 9V-SNC

you can add 9V-SWO to this list as it has recently hatched after refit

The 77WN appear more regularly on routes such as 318/319 and 227/228 but substitutions do occur.
77WR appear on the PE routes like LHR ,MUC and SYD. All PE 777 have the new 2013 J

So flightradar24 will give you a better idea closer to flight time if equipement swaps are regular

Hope this helps:)
