Yes it definitely is an advantage getting two suites.....one for dining , drinking Krug and movies and the other as a bedroom.

Have to deal with my Saudi Princess who loves 1A in the new Suites CE. She has no issue with using non Saver redemptions so I have to keep in business to make the Kris Miles.
Next thing is she would stop all that if I was gone and just pay for the tickets as she lives in the “world of plenty”.

Would appear that the Dom / PH rare from TPR kicking in cobber?
It may be indeed.

It's tough posting on the phone with Krug in one hand.

For those that don't speak Kruglish we have commandeered 4 suites. 2 window seats for take off, 1 shared while dining and 2 centre suites for some napping.

It truly is a better way to fly.

Now that I am feeling refreshed it is time for another assault on the stockpile of Krug.

in case I missed it, do you simply, ask cabin staff if there are vacant seats and ask if you can take them?

Yep just ask nicely. If you can use the spare seats.

Obviously the earlier the better. If they are free you will have no objections from the FA.

If my intel is correct MALE / FEMALE amenities will be replaced by UNISEX amenities in TPR / F / J Lounge refurbs - toilets will also be included in shower rooms - not sure if that extends to J lounge - I will try to find out some more details Sep 2.

Just got an email

Complimentary WiFi

Complimentary WiFi is offered to passengers travelling in Suites, First Class, Business Class, PPS Club members and supplementary cardholders. Simply provide the necessary details via the ‘Complimentary Access’ section on the inflight portal. See below for more details:

Suites / First ClassUnlimited*
Business Class / PPS Club members and supplementary cardholders100MB*

*Available on A350, 787-10 and selected A380 and 777-300ER aircraft.

On selected A380 and 777-300ER aircraft with an older inflight connectivity system, the complimentary WiFi allowance is 100MB for Suites/First Class and 30MB for Business Class/PPS Club members and supplementary cardholders. These aircraft are undergoing progressive retrofit to a newer inflight connectivity system.

Very very nice for Unlimited, even if it may be slow

You book your bags through to Frankfurt and you just take your carry-on to the Crown Plaza. Enjoy!

Don’t forget your clothes and sandals for the hot humid weather need to be in the carry on. Some people forget that.

so ive taken a few peoples advice here and waitlisted a few business class flights to singapore leaving MELB O/N flight, and not doing F

also is it normal that every flight to singapore is a 777? I thought the O/N flights were a380?

from what ive seen on youtube the 777 F vs J dont look that much different as well, so nobrainer J for me

The SQ A380 service to MEL is now seasonal - SQ217/SQ218 used to be an A380 everyday, however SQ found that their big bird is needed due to demands at other ports such as BOM, DEL, NRT, etc.
SQ sends A380 birds to MEL typically in June/July and November/December each year to cope with increased demands in the Northern Summer and Christmas/New Year periods respectively.

Keep an eye out on RoutesOnline for any scheduled aircraft swaps, especially between the 777-300ER and A380 at MEL. For example:

Which airlines? Star alliance would allow you to use the SQ lounge which is open until 0030. The TG lounge then opens at 0530. So you'd have 5 hours to fill in.

With CX/oneoworld you'll find the lounges open a fair bit later, until the last CX departure.
