American Express have partnered with SQ to offer 10% off flights until 7 October 2019.

Received an email from AmEx this morning, with the following included:
1565698221639.png
Clicking "Book now" takes you to the American Express Exclusive page on the SQ site.
Following the steps then leads to this page, which seems to simply apply the promo code SQAUAMEX to the booking.
Once logged in, flights can be searched for on the American Express Exclusive page.

The T&Cs of the offer (from the AmEx email) are as below:
8.Singapore Airlines
•
This promotion is offered exclusively for bookings made on singaporeair.com.
•
The promotion is available for bookings made using an eligible American Express ® Card.
•
Corporate Card accounts, David Jones StoreCard, Co-Brand Business Cards and Cards not issued by American Express, Australia Limited are not eligible.
•
Flights in the following booking classes are not eligible for the offer: Economy (V class, K class), Premium Economy (R class) or Business (D class).
•
All itineraries must depart from either Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Cairns or Darwin.
•
This promotion is valid for tickets issued by Singapore Airlines, on all services operated by Singapore Airlines/SilkAir, operated by Lufthansa on services between Singapore and Munich/Dusseldorf/Frankfurt, and operated by Swiss on services between Singapore and Zurich.
•
This promotion is valid for existing KrisFlyer members, and new KrisFlyer members who sign up to KrisFlyer, for bookings between 13 August 2019 and 07 October 2019.
•
Travel validity for this offer is between 13 August 2019 and 15 September 2020 inclusive. Blackout Periods apply. Maximum stay duration varies by destination: Europe, USA and South Africa (6 months), Asia (3 months).
•
This promotion is valid for the gross fare level, exclusive of government taxes, fees and surcharges.
•
The displayed price is inclusive of airfare, government and airport taxes and is priced per person. The advertised price may differ at the time of booking due to currency fluctuations or changes to the applicable taxes.
•
A credit card service fee of 1.35% of the total amount, capped at AUD70, and applies per ticket when using a Singapore Airlines accepted credit card.
•
Fares do not include optional charges, such as service fees, date change fees and cancellation fees. Such fees are specific to certain booking classes, and more details can be found at singaporeair.com. In the event that you choose to make flight changes after booking, the promotional fare may not be available. In some cases, you may be required to pay an additional fare for newly selected flights.
•
Singapore Airlines’ cancellation and refund policy is subject to the applicable local laws and regulations, which prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
•
Advance seat selection is permitted at a charge.
•
System range for reservations is 355 days in advance of the date of booking.
•
Seats based on advertised fares are limited and may not be available on both outbound and/or inbound journeys - combinations with higher fare classes may be presented, which are not included as part of this offer.
•
Fulfilment of the offer is the responsibility of Singapore Airlines.

A minor point, but a little deceptive advertising in that it is impossible to get a 10% discount, and in fact on fares less than $5760 it is only possible to get an 8.8% discount.....

Thanks for posting this: I got the e-mail too, but the default Gmail display truncated the end portion which included the SQ offer! Very handy as I will be booking an SQ flight in the next few days...

No worries. Same happened to me too (Gmail truncation), but the email subject got me intrigued, as "your exciting new travel offers for your next trip" were words that were music to my ears. And so off I went and clicked on the "[Message clipped] View entire message"...
Surprised that the SQ offer was buried deep towards the bottom of the email, I reckon most people would have completely missed its inclusion (hence this post here on AFF)!

Well I hope whoever dreamed up this offer might do something about the SQ website. I thought I was booking a fare which might attract the rebate but nowhere in the booking process - before you make a non-refundable payment - does it show what specific class your booking is for. I booked 2 x premium economy CBR - IST but no rebate becuase it was class R. IMHO this is quite deceitful.

Possibly the 10% discount is on the base fare only, not the +++ ...

I tried this yesterday and it was a bloody disaster! To cut a long story short, after 5 failed attempts to book a simple return J fare (either the booking was tejected or resulted in an unticketed booking) and more than an hour on webchat and phone to a SQ agent, I finally got a ticketed booking after the agent did it for me (witn the discount). This is probably SQ's fault, but I will be sending Amex a serve about it as well..

This is probably true also.

But what I calculated was based on the credit card payment fee as you must pay with Amex to get the discount. So $1000 fare -10% = $900 + 1.35% = $912.15 which is a $87.85 discount.

OK ... Missed that naunce.

So ordinarily, that $1000 fare would cost $1013.50
