They do say flight cuts but i know the A330's were planned for some AU routes which would be seat cuts as well ! or maybe only seat cuts and the news reporter mis-reported.

At the moment BNE and PER have three flights a day. I understand that in both cases one of the flights is being dropped back to three or four flights a week from its current daily operation. So instead of 21 weekly flights there will be 17 or 18.

Maybe SQ can now get back to training a few of there staff to offer the good service of old !
21 x B777 to 17-18 x A333 will be a fair reduction

Current seats B777-200 x 21 = 6783
New A333-300 X 17.5 = 4987.5 (poor half a person on half a flight)

A reduction of a little over 25% of the seats. (About 7% reduction in J/C seats only though since both aircraft have 30 C/J)

In their online timetables, SQ is showing cuts to SYD/BNE/PER frequencies as early as February, but ADL is still showing daily all the way through to May. There may besome capacity cut to ADL with reversion to A330 (not sure extent of this, as IIRC ADL is currently served by 772's).
