Hi All,

I have about 60,000 points sitting in my KF account and approaching a million points in my Amex MR account. I would like to book 2 RTW fares, preferably in J (but would consider F), for me and my fiance. To that end I have a few questions as the SQ wesbite is light on detail.

Firstly, it says a RTW fare allows you to "Circle the globe and visit up to seven cities of your choice". A J itinerary requires 240,000 KF per pax. Surely there are more conditions than this; where might I find these?

Secondly, is availability likely to be good on a route such as SIN-JNB-GRU-SCL-LAX-NRT-ICN-SIN? How far out am I likely to need to book if I am flexible about dates during the trip but quite inflexible about the starting and finishing dates?

Thirdly, is this even the right move? My fiance and I each have about 60,000 AA points, would it be more efficient to do the old MR-SPG-AA transfer to top up our AA accounts and book a OWE explorer?

Finally, can anyone point me towards where I can find more information to self help on this topic? Info on RTW Star Alliance redemptions has been hard to find.

Many thanks for your past and future advice!

There isn't a lot of information available on SQ RTW awards. I tried researching recently and did not get very far.

Someone asked a similar question on Flyertalk and did not get many responses.

It may well be easier to call KrisFlyer customer service for the information you require.

Thanks for the link JohnK.

Looks like an opportunity for me to develop a niche expertise that might help others in the future. I'll keep the community posted.
