Hi All,

I redeemed x2 KUL-SIN-LHR in SQ J via Aeroplan for Oct 2026, two months ago. It seemed like SQ J Availability has dropped off a cliff after. Trying to find J seat from Europe-SIN for Nov 2026 and cannot find any, after looking daily. Is it likely due to Krisflyer devaluation, or is it a pattern that has developed over the years?

Are you only looking at SQ?

TG has some good availability, although it can be patchy. And there’s Oman Air.

Aeroplan availability is a pale imitation of its former self sadly - especially with SQ
Agree United availability is an issue, but that’s affected everyone, not just Aeroplan. SQ is still there, just a bit more limited than previous. But still plenty of other options. VA to and from Doha has been added… up to four seats on every flight from major capitals. Beats SQ!

Plenty of availability for SQ via Velocity for Europe-SIN, but nothing at all via Aeroplan!
Interesting… I picked a random date… 11 Feb for travel CDG-SIN.

Velocity indeed had a seat… 90k plus $362. Aeroplan and United didnt have it.

But… clicking through, that’s only for premium economy!

I’d be interested to cross-reference with some other star programs if you have a sample date where business is available on SQ but not on aeroplan?,

VA sells miles too? 40% bonus on now/just finished. They’ve had several this year.

Maybe it's just star alliance programs that sell miles. But then again they didn't seem to offer much in the way of J class to any star alliance partners other than Aeroplan in recent times (LH Miles & More used to be great, then they turned that tap off suddenly).

I was just reading that SQ switched to PoC earlier this year. Perhaps this is what we're now seeing them tweak around with and "optimise" now that they have PoC as a tool to control inventory.

SQ availability on Aeroplan is nowhere near what it used to be. Definitely nothing on Aeroplan to or from the European cities I can see.

Even ex-Australia - SIN the only flight that's getting released to Aeroplan is one seat on the 0700 MEL - SIN service.

Nothing from SIN to Australia either. The only thing that Aeroplan seems to be decent for these days is TG to BKK booked a couple of months out.

How does this work? Is it just booking class codes? Like normal *A award books into X class, SQ members get a special code like Z class or whatever? I've noticed TK is rare as hens teeth on Aeroplan as well, used to be easy to find.

There’s a problem with TK showing, apparently.

As mentioned in another thread by a fellow AFFer, if you can find TK availability - say for example via United - there’s a good chance aeroplan can book it for you too, over the phone.

But into/out of Australian apparently TK is running full.

I agree with all the posters - AC awards to/from Europe are very very scarce. While you can easily get VA to/from DOH using AC points - it's 110,000 (the same as all the way to Europe) then *A flights ex-DOH are very few and far between - given the VA booking window is more like 330 days (not the 355 of most other programs) - Oman Air is an option but availability is not very good, sometimes TK and and MS (often with very long layovers in Cairo). So I looked at paid fares to Europe ex DOH - these seem to be around $5000 return so not a great option value-wise.

I was looking for J flights FRA - SIN or BKK in October 26. It was looking dire leading up to the days when I wanted to fly. I started looking at SQ and found good availability at 11am EST on the day of release but they disappeared quickly. I had virtually no KF points so transferred most of my remaining Amex and Velocity miles. I looked at 1102 on the day I wanted but they had already gone. Were still available for the 2 days before but I decided to wait until the next day. I got everything ready and hit submit right on 1100 and got my 2 saver J awards.
I checked again in the afternoon 3 days later and no Saver J awards available for 10 days before. So looks like SQ is just looking after their own flyers.
