SQ Credit Card Surchage Fee

Was looking to book a flight on SQ website and now noticed that they are charging a non-refundable 1.35% credit card processing fee (capped at AUD70) if paying by credit card on their website :shock:

Believe Masterpass and Paypal is accepted as payment method without surchage. Unsure if we can use Amex owned cards via these methods.

Went from $25 to $15 in April, then down to $10 in October, and now at 1.35%

Ausbt has a couple of ways to get around the fee and still pay by CC

EDIT - apologies just read the last bit of the OP. I believe Amex payments are allowed without fee through Masterpass. For some reason Paypal doesn't allow Amex payments to airlines.

Brought into line with RBA guidlines. One effect is that it is more obvious - I dont think people were generally aware that SQ have had a credit card fee for years.

Definitely more prominent than it was - hidden before!

..and given it was $10, it may increase the amount some are paying! So worth highlighting
