It appears due to the recent troubles in selected parts of the world, SQ is deploying A380 into Melbourne (Tullamarine), on SQ237/228, making Melbourne (Tullamarine) potentially the largest port served by SQ by number of seats:

Does anyone able to score an upgrade or redemption through Velocity for First Class service on SQ237/8?

Moreover, London (Gatwick) is increasing to 10x weekly during European Summer holidays:

With Jakarta 9x daily wide body and Bangkok 7x daily (most of these on higher density 787-10), not even close.

Possibly also in response to QF increasing A380 service to SIN:

Qantas is reducing capacity to the US for the peak travel Northern Winter Oct 2026-Mar 2027

SYD-LAX (QF11/12) A380 from daily to 6/week
MEL-LAX (QF93/94) goes from 5xB787 and 2xA380 to daily 787

But expands SYD-SIN (QF81/82, QF1/2) A380 service from 9/week to 13/week, then 14/week from Feb27. This includes the usual daily A380 to LHR

For 3 weeks in August 2026 the airline is swopping the SYD-DFW QF7/8 from daily A380 to 4 days A380 and 3 days B787

However, 2x A380 to SIN means QF83/84 is axed, and also means there's no later evening options into Sydney and forced to cram with everyone for the early morning arrival into Sydney.
