Is it me, or do the Business seats look rather cramped? I'm sure it's just an optical illusion however, to a first-time or inexperienced traveller it could be seen to be providing less space than other J alternatives.

I think they might look so cramped due them being so wide?
I thought the sutes looked nice, but are they narrower than the J seats (that would be strange), or is it more optical illusion?

Edit: Thanks for posting the vid by the way.

Don't get me wrong - the R suites are nice. But for an $1500 increase in price over F I expected something nicer... I fail to see how R class is different to the F suites on EK and 9W which are priced at regular F fares (maybe even cheaper than regular SQ F).

Any screen captures available for those of us who dont have flv player in the office whilst waiting for a postponed meeting?

The J seats look exactly the same as those on the SQ's 77W; the new F suites look like they are enclosed cabins, and you can slide the door closed for complete privacy, I guess....so great for the rich and famous who can afford to pay for it, and remain incognito for the whole flight!!

The economy seats again look like the ones in the 77W...

Not overwhelmed here...:-|

Per QF009 - the J/Y seats are the same as the 77W - it is only First that was getting new seats. The new seats in the 77W were meant to be in the A380 first but due to the A380 delays went into the 77W...

See QF009's link to Youtube in a previous post.

There are apparently some modifications to the J cabin. According to a poster on SQTalk, there is no longer a tray at the PTV screen level for storage of magazines/blankets etc.

Oh and I just learnt that there are no electronic controls for the bed. One has to manually flip it over with an FA's assistance in some 6 step maneuver like the 77W F. I was also advised that the seat and the bed are partially seperate but I didn't quite get what that meant.

YouTube unavailable at work as well :(

Same policy here with the exception of the bloke who controls it... ME

Y/T via WAN not available here either; Was able to view via Modem.

Very wide in J ... It prob. won't worry me as I have no SQ flights planned in the foreseeable future.

Makes me sort of wish that I had stuck with QFF and had easy WP so I could have done some *A flying :( Those J seats are huge - looks like I need a job with MORE flying ;)

Stop stop...the whole tossing up between WP and EXP is already driving me insane as it is without thinking about the possibility of retaining *G... :D

Suites remind me of a cramped office with those high walls. Also looks like a very narrow walkway.
Presume a privacy screen can be pulled down.
Edit: Having watched the SQ vid.. It's got doors. Like an old railway carriage. Worst soundtrack ever on that SQ video

First real pics of Biz I've seen, looks good, albeit appears you need to sleep on an angle.

Colour scheme in economy is enough to put me off

You have the option of having a double bed in the privacy of an enlarged suite if you book the couple seats in the middle of the cabin. *nudge nudge wink wink* ;)

Yep, the perfect place to play chess with your partner :) Although it'd have to be quiet chess as to not disturb those people around you.
