Wonderful to see the new Spring Menu, looking forward to trying it out next month.
Also keen to try the LAX First Lounge on this trip. Any word on whether the menu will change in LAX as well, although this would be the Fall (Autumn) Menu!

I believe LA has a new autumn menu. Can't personally confirm until early Oct. ;)

Breakfast in the lounge this morning - Quinoa and avocado and smoked salmon and Mr FM had the pancakes

nice to meet you FM (and Mr FM)

Having the signature breakfast, but just eyed off the corn fritters :)

Does anyone have the current all day dining market inspiration options handy? Thanks.

For Sydney or Melbourne? I was in Melbourne approx 10 days ago and it was very limited (sashimi, a lamb pasta and maybe a dessert). It was less than the menu someone else had posted of the Mel inspirations just a couple of days before - so I suspect it can change regularly.

Thanks kermatu - Sydney. What was the pasta?

As it looks like we are having dinner in the Sydney Flounge, due to QF1 being pushed back 4 hours to 8pm, am I going to be disappointed? The meals just seem a little basic compared to winter or autumn.

Does anyone know what the delay will do to the meals on QF1? Will we get anything before bedtime?

What time does QF11 board? I really want to try the salt and pepper squid.

Technically too early for the Squid, but every time I've asked upon arrival at the lounge they've made some for me before boarding. It's my favourite brunch snack!

Had another 2 goes at the spring all day menu in Sydney this past week.
Market inspirations were only sashimi and soup.
So I relied on old favourites sashimi (great as usual) and salt and pepper squid (I got a bit fed up of it so haven't had for a while - it was good).
tried the burgers on different visits. The beef was really good. And the fish was nice too.
But best surprise of all - a pickled vegetable salad- it was simply amazing. Great flavours and textures. Was a top dish in my opinion.
Some redeeming features to this menu after all!

I can never seem to get past the minute steak. Well, 2 minutes if you count the fact i like to have 2 :)
I will miss the truffle butter version... just a little.

For the first time in a while I was in an F lounge mid-morning through mid-afternoon, so got to have an old favourite for breakfast, the corn fritters. Wonderful. Enjoyed some of their coughtails too.

then snuck in a quick lunch, all from the market inspirations - trout starter which was nice, and a Thai chilli beef which was a generous serve and very tasty.

Probably my last taste of the Spring menu. While my disappointment has somewhat lessened, I am looking forward to summer and hoping for a better menu.
