While I’m totally onboard with finding any excuse for going to France, Sydney was a great place to be for anyone in Sydney who didn’t want to go to Olympic Park … which wasn’t worth going to, back then, as only the Olympics was there then!

Heard a radio interview on ABC today. A man in UK paid $1800 return to fly LHR-MEL for the grand final. His brother from Perth paid $2400 return from PER-MEL. There is something nasty about that. I hate dynamic/surge pricing. A recipe to gouge.

Shame. I expect that a routing something like PER - DOH - MEL may have been cheaper and possibly slightly more comfortable on a 777 rather than a 737.
