Sparkling (Shiraz or Red) Recommendations?

interesting - first time i’ve seen it not sell out on release (within a day), though previous ones cheaper elsewhere beforehand:

Last year it took nearly a week for it to sell out at the winery after the 24 October release email and appeared at retail late November.

The last Primo Estate Joseph sparkling red I purchased/had was 3 x ‘14 disgorgement, (consumed ‘16, ‘19, & ‘23) this latest release bought directly from Primo Estate doesn’t align with my previous experiences of it, and I’m a little disappointed. The bottle shape has also changed quite a bit.

Maybe it needed a bit more time to settle?

I used to rate it above the Rockford BS but no longer.

The previous 2024 disgorge was the first in the new shorter/fatter bottle, I quite like the new shape.
I think Charles Melton Sparkling red is as good/better/better value than Joseph or Rockford and under crown seal too,
From a very experienced sparkling red person over at my place:
2025 Primo Joseph
Just arrived. It needed to rest and I was too impatient in opening one.
I think they need about a year. The 24 is way better now than before.
The 25 is fresh and lively, which is better than when they were fat and were too heavily liquored in the past.
Drank over 2 days, and it good, lots of spice and cough going on, but drink the older ones while waiting for this.
