Hi just wondering if anyone's ever gotten an award flight in Qantas F class? It's my first F flight so I really want to check out the lounge esp. the spa. How do I book a session? I read somewhere that they are meant to call you the day before but will they do that for award flights?

Hi Angela

Hope you enjoy both your first F Flight and the F lounge and yes you are correct as a First passenger you will receive a call to book in for the Spa howver it also does not hurt to call the lounge and book a few days out.

Have a great time

Cheers

First Class all the way.....no different to a purchased ticket.

The first host will call you the day before.....you can pre-book spa, kerb side assistance & give a heads up that you want to indulge in the degustation meal - assuming you are on a flight that provides this.

Make sure you allow sufficient time to enjoy the lounge....IMO, 3hrs or longer:D

I would ring ahead of time if you really want to try the spa. I didn't received the expected phone call from the first host before my flight this year (FASA). My flight was reasonably early in the morning and I wasn't that fussed on trying the spa, so I didn't worry too much, but in the future I wouldn't rely on receiving the promised phone call.

They will contact you (depending on flight departure time if QF11 they usually ring after 1pm) even if FASA but if you want you can call desk you can the day before (not a few days) spa booking are only arranged a day before.

Also as stated you can use kerb side meet - have had them meet me 4 hour before - you will have to get the mobile contact no. and call them when your about 5 mins away.

Enjoy your trip.
