I've had a very good experience with the VA feedback process.

As I can't drink milk, I am forced onto soy and was really disappointed to see the VA lounge in Melbourne using So Good to make their coffee (which achieves a double whammy in barista coffee of both coagulating to make it lumpy - yes lumpy! - but also making it taste like burnt plastic). I made the point with the barista (who agreed) and recommended I submit feedback. I did, not expecting anything, and lo and behold received a response very quickly and the very next trip was actually able to drink the coffee as they've changed to Vitasoy.

I know we ask for a lot (and some of it is admittedly unreasonable), but I was stoked to see that on the small things that can be changed the feedback was received, acknowledged and acted upon so quickly to improve the guest experience. Thanks VA!

This is soyriously good soyvice

Meh.....if they'd switched to Bonsoy I would have been impressed. Vitasoy is pretty mediocre.

I find that coffee shops who use the Vitasoy frothing variety produce the better cappuccinos/lattes. It is the only brand I am aware of that makes that specific version.

If I was forced off the moo juice, I'd simply move to espressos. I simply cannot stand the taste of Soy Milk. The downside to this is that milk can disguise a terrible coffee, which there is no room to hide from if it's just the espresso.

I have found Zymil milk to be the best of the lot.

Possibly because it's regular milk with the lactose broken down - not soy :) I'm lactose intolerant so I drink Zymil at home. It's by far the best one I've found.

I can't stand soy milk - but after reading this thread I'm wondering if it's because I've only ever tried So Good.

(having said that, I'm an espresso man anyway).

indeed I think it is most definitely because you have only tried so good.... it is HIDEOUS DISGUSTING STUFF. Go to a decent cafe that serves a good soy milk and see the difference

I've had quite a few, I just don't like the 'nuttiness' of Soy. Just personal taste of course.

I think that's the reason I like soy milk, because of that nutty flavour. When a soy latte is prepared correctly, you get a nice toasty nut flavour with the espresso. (When it isn't done right, the soy milk is usually burnt and tastes likewise).

I'm not lactose intolerant but I do like a good soy latte; however if not available or just to play it safe then I'll also be happy with a latte made with standard dairy milk. (I don't mind the odd espresso but I do like my milk coffee).

In Asia, soy "milk" can be quite a different affair. Most Westerners would be slightly shocked by what they get versus what they perceive soy milk to be.

Back on topic...it must not be a uniform product thing across the lounge system, as I've always known the BNE VA lounge to use Vitasoy and no other brand.

I'd love to provide feedback to request a non-soy lactose free milk addition (like Zymil). Where do I go to provide feedback (I've had a quick look online but can't seem to locate this)?
