South Korea (ICN) to/from Japan - $$$

Hi

I just wanted to share with you some incredible information I discovered while planning for a ONEx. To/From ICN and anywhere in Japan is at least $1000 AUD for ECONOMY!!! This is a 1-2 hour flight...

Anyway, thinking cap donned, if you really absolutely must go to ICN, just redeem a Zone 1 Award fare on JL/JO from KIX for 10K/18K points in Y/J respectively. Not bad value for an otherwise $1000 fare! You will need to ring Qantas to book it though (+2.5K phone handling).

I had similar situation to yours, in which I needed a one way ex-NRT fare to HKG. However one way direct flight in Y is around $2K *serious* (for 4hrs).

Redeemed an award flight for 20K + 2.5K booking fee + $60 in fuel fines. Excellent value I say.
