This is not necessarily a “trip” report but more a recording of our proposed overindulgences! We were last in Adelaide about 8 years ago and thought it was time for another visit. We are staying 9 nights and have booked the following:-
Our journey begins on Thursday 16th on JQ807 from MCY to ADL. A fairly uneventful flight until approaching ADL. There was a bit of storm activity but nothing too bad,. However as we began the final approach the pilot suddenly accelerated and initiated a go around. Our initial thoughts were that this was to do with the weather but it turns out there was an aircraft taking off and ATC decided we were too close so had to abort! This then put us third in line so we landed about 15 minutes late.
- Lunch at Star of Greece in Port Willunga (Friday 17th)
- Cheese Fest (Saturday 18th)
- McLaren Vale winery tour (Sunday 19th)
- Kangaroo Island tour (Tuesday 21st)
- Barossa Valley winery tour (Thursday 23rd)
