I have searched this forum but not found exactly the information I am seeking. Mr LL and I are travelling to Vietnam (arriving and departing HAN) on the following dates:
Sept 6-14 then again Oct 6-8 ( in between we will be travelling in Canada and USA - haha on that CX mistake fare booked on Jan 1 this year)
Now looking at various visa options for Vietnam - it seems to me that 2 single entry visas would be the way to go (as a multiple entry 1 month visa would not be sufficient and a multiple entry 3 month visa would be much more costly) - is my understanding correct?
Can you apply for 2 single entry visas simultaneously ? Or would we need to exit Vietnam first then apply for the second one?
There are various visa service web sites ("portals") which provide you the documentation for a 'visa on arrival' but charge additional fees - the Vietnam 'offical' web site seems (as far as I can tell) to only allow for online visa application (not visa on arrival).
I also notice on the offical web site you must upload a photo with one of the requirements being "ears" showing - does this mean that if you go the visa on arrival option the photos you bring with you must also meet this requirement - it is not stipulated on these "portals". (My passport photos taken very recently do not show my ears).
The "portals" also offer services like 'express service' at the airport and/or car transfer to your hotel - has anyone used these - would you recommend them?
Finally to further complicate matters Mr LL and I are both waiting for our new passports (from Australia, Canada and Germany) as ours were stolen on a recent trip (as reported here on a separate AFF thread - many thanks for all the sympathy) - hopefully these will arrive in time to get these visas sorted out.
