I'm in Manila at the moment, staying at the Crowne Plaza - until next Thurs and while I was working yesterday afternoon - my chair began to wobble, then it did it again. I hadn't had anything to drink, so I looked out the window - everything looked normal, so I didn't give it a second thought apart from looking at my watch (3:30pm). Later on in the afternoon, I was looking on Google Earth and found that there was an Earthquake north of Manila at the same time I felt the wobble! See below:

Living in MEL, earthquakes are not a common experience for me. I just thought is was cool (I guess) that I found the quake on Google Earth and thought I would share.

PS. Over the past six flights, I have had thee op-ups! That's an amazing 50% - hopefully, I will get another on my way back to MEL at the end of the week. QF(MEL-HKG) Y to W, CX(MNL-HKG) Y to J and QF(MEL-SYD) Y to J .... amazing!

I think i am at the same sort of percentage in the last couple of months for op-ups on my why flights...

CX NRT-HKG Y->J, 2 x CX HKG-SIN Y->J, QF SIN-MEL Y->W and a couple more before that, amazing. Oh well just the luck of the draw i guess.
CX was at the counter and at the gate, QF was from the Flounge in SIN.

Anyway back OT, i have had a few movings of the earth in Japan over the years... And a few i have slept through that the local Japanese guys said woke them up. Never really worried me to much as have not seen a big one.

I was outdoors new Sydney many years ago when Newcastle happened, i saif to my cousin, what was that i am sure the earth shook, and we just thoguht not much more of it till we got home and heard the news. Scary.

Re: Abercrombie Fitch Wholesale

Abercrombie & Fitch began in 1892 under the name David T. Abercrombie Co. It was a small waterfront shop and factory in New York City. The founder, David Abercrombie, was a former trapper, prospector, topographer, and railroad surveyor. His love for the great outdoors influenced his store, Abercrombie & Co., and was dedicated to camping, fishing, and hunting gear. His clientele consisted mostly of hunters and explorers. Ezra Fitch, a lawyer in New York crossed paths with Abercrombie & Co. in his search for outstanding outdoor gear. In 1900 Abercrombie became Abercrombie & Fitch and Ezra became a partner. Abercrombie & Fitch WholesaleLong arguments formed between the two men regarding the future of Abercrombie & Fitch(abercrombie & fitch clothing). Abercrombie wanted to continue selling gear to professional outdoorsmen, while Fitch wanted to focus the store on the general public. Abercrombie resigned in 1907 leaving the store in the hands of Ezra Fitch. Fitch wanted the store to have an outdoor feeling. He set up a tent in the middle of the store, and a campfire blazed in a corner. The clerks hired at A&F were not professional salesmen, they were true outdoorsmen. Inventory expanded as did the store. A&F became the first store in New York to supply such clothing to women as well as men. A&F began publishing a magazine which contained 456 pages of outdoor gear and clothing. Now there were 50,000 prospective customers for A&F. Abercrombie & Fitch soon became the largest sporting goods store in the world. Ezra Fitch retired and in 1977, the store went bankrupt. After a few owners, A&F was bought by Limited Inc. in 1988.

Glad we cleared that up!:?:
