At Singapore, I was originally only there for 1 night and I booked an Accor 'Stay Plus' free night (when you only needed to stay 1 night) at the Fairmont, in a Prestige Marina Bay room. With the earlier TK departure, I needed an extra night, so booked a 'cheap' room at the Fairmont, expecting that they would upgrade it to match the second night, and they did.
Annoying check-in experience - on tablets. Busy; condescending guy said don't worry, its easy, but I knew it wouldn't be, because of the 2 bookings. Lot of back-and-forthing but got there - eventually. Annoying, esp the attitude of the 'helper' (male). Silly old guy doesn't understand technology ... Not what you want at the Fairmont.
Plus, they have as many 'helpers' as they would need check-in agents. I guess they pay these people less.

Check out the shub to the left - really wide lip to be stepped over.

But there was a problem. The room was quite warm and after 15 mins I couldn't convince the aircon to give any cool air. The 'helper' had already told me that its sensor operated - when you are out, it turns off. I reported this and impressively, they instantly sent a guy to 'fix'. He manually set the min temp from 21 to 19. Here he is measuring the temp of the air coming out.
