We're off to Fiji in October 2026. Prior to looking at loyalty programmes, we were keen on Sofitel Fiji with beach club as we'll be sans kids (woohoo!). At this stage 5 nights in a Luxury room with beach access is $4,979.69 (ALL member rate $4,730.31). Here's my calculations - please sanity check or recommend improvements! (Separate bookings and use 2 free nights?)
  • Stay plus free night -$995.94
  • Member rate discount on other 4 nights 15% x $3,983.75 = -$597.56
So should be a final price $3,386.19 (compared to $4,730.31 member rate).

TIA

I can’t speak to the calculations but we stayed there a couple of years ago with the family in one of their suites as ALL+ Plat and it was very very nice. Easily the best hotel in that area. You’ll love it. We hired a car and drove around.

not the question you asked.. but are you having any issues booking that sofitel?

I'm trying and at the last step once I pick the room, it says no rooms available.

Hotel direct has just confirmed plenty of rooms available but if I book via them dont think I'll be able to use my free night and points

Haven't tried yet - we're looking at October 2026, dates are fixed to coincide with us arriving from SFO (got some U seats :) )
once you pick the room and price and goto the next step, then it gives me the error (so no payment etc yet)

I wouldn't count on the Stay Free night being able to be used to remove the whole cost of one of the nights. For a room with Beach Club Access I'd expect a copayment if the room is even bookable that way

"Your Stay Plus free night is not available in this destination. Take advantage of ALL member rates."

ALL+ rate is $4,250.53, so around $480 cheaper than normal member rates.

I’ve just booked FJ return J award seats to Fiji for August 2026. Never been and I’m an Accor platinum member.

I’m also looking at the Sofitel for a couple of nights. Def want a child free area. Eye watering rates so trying to work out if it’s worth it.

I am thinking though we’ll have a couple nights at the Sofitel to settle in and relax and then head off to the islands Although one of the adults only islands recommended to me by a friend - Tokoriki Island - was $2000 a night ha ha.

Nanuku Resort Fiji could be a good option.

Tokoriki is so worth it IMO. Not the Sheraton, that one is cough. Loved every thing and great food! It’s also adult only. The price might be a bit inflated but look out for deals on LE. I think we got 4 nights for 4K aud last year.

How timely this thread is - we've booked J fares SYD-NAN with FJ from August 22, 2026 (got awards on the way over and paid fares on the return). We're also considering both the Sofitel (hoping to use ALL+ but it sounds like this property does not allow stay + free night, even with a surcharge) and Tokoriki. Have not booked either yet - since August is high season I would be surprised if LE offered anything for Tokoriki.

Any ideas when we should book - I don't think prices will go up or down but availability could run out. We've also compared the base rate (about $2000 PD) on Tokoriki (breakfast only ) to all meals included and after asking for menus to compare prices we have decided that the additional $A350 per day is not good value for us. We've also allowed for one "buffer" day on the way in and way out (staying at hotel/motel near the airport) - a lot easier to plan transfer etc (maybe stock up on snack food).

Does anyone have any idea how the snorkelling is from the Sofitel (none off the beach but boat trips required as far as we can work out - we've sent the resort an inquiry).

I like your thinking. I just don't think it's worth it, at least for our last night to be at a high-end hotel. We'll be coming back from the island and we have an early morning flight at 8am. I am still considering the Sofitel for the first two nights.

I just checked the Sofitel on the first two nights we arrived and it's showing $1,300 in the app. That's not terrible considering we paid $500 a night earlier this year for the Sofitel Noosa and got a cough room with a view of a car park.

Looks like we land from BNE about 5pm so could potentially make it the executive club for drinks and canapes and settle in for the next day, use the adults-only amenities and then leave to have three nights on an island.

I love the look of Tokoriki but I've never paid that much for a hotel in my life. I agree it doesn't seem a good value to do the all-inclusive meals. We just wouldn't eat that much, particularly when there's a buffet breakfast included.

By the way, are you familiar with the app Ratedrop.net? I've been using it for the last year. It's only about $7 a month and it saved me hundreds of dollars with Accor booking. You just put in your Accor booking and it notifies you as soon as the rate drops so you can rebook.

It's been a great investment. I think I'll book the Sofitel and see if the rate drops.
