So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Que surprise… GPH , did not expect a roller….. :eek:
Hope you are ready for all the canardly jokes and the fake thank you letters from middle east oil barons….:D
I am always interested in how us boys choose our toys , can you /will you share the rationale ?

The guy upstairs (before he fell off the perch so to speak) had a white roller. Somehow it just didn’t look right! Needed to be black or maroon. The red Ferrari was ok though. I did hear his wife had taken both cars with her, as there was an issue in that he left no will and there are several other wives and his children from previous marriages.

GPH, it’s lovely and shiny! :)

No neither cars were owned them. Our family have owned a few British cars over the years including Daimler, Morris, Jaguar, Leyland, Wolseley and Riley.

The 2 Riley’s pictured up thread - the grey one was chassis, rusted body, and everything else i.e. running gear, gauges, interior etc. was in boxes. I think he was given the red one as it was was on on the way to the dump and considered a junker however Dad thinks everything can be repaired. Neither looked like they do today when we first got them.

This looks a lot better than you described, it is a truly fine looking motor. Must say I would have liked to laid claim to to this find.

I found it before it had made it onto the more prominent car sales sites.
I agreed to buy it on the first viewing and by the time I made it home, the advertisement had been pulled down !

I'm very late to the party, but better late than never . I have a MY15 Volvo S60 T5 R Design with the polestar ecu tune in red. Always been a bit of a car person, and never ever had Volvo on my radar but they've been releasing some wonderful cars lately. Absolutely love it .

I guess it’s all about personal preference.
I have two VERY different classic cars, so I don’t like or want to be pigeon holed into any specific group.
The fact is i like many different makes and vintages of cars, i am buying the best of what I can afford . Simply put , any compromise is just going to end up in disappointment.

@jb747

How’s the Rangie towing characteristics now that you have had some time on the road?

Did you have to install an electric brake controller and was there any issues with wiring the the trailer plug?. Was that an issue with all the Rangie electronics?
