Yeah, they subbed an international configuration 763 for a domestically configured one. This was decided sometime before 1:45pm yesterday.
Did you obtain your BP after this time?

Lesson there: always try to recheck your seating on arrival at the airport (if you have time) - either via Quickcheck, on-line or a QP agent.Did OLCI and had 32A.
Then got given 47B at the gate at departure time, complained and was given 25K.
So yes got my boarding pass after that time. All worked out in the end. ...

I posted this in another thread a while back.I asked the lady how come i got such a rearward seat given my frequent flyer status and she said she wasnt sure but was propbably caused by the change of aircraft.
I have discovered a major glitch in pre-allocating seats and recommend people to check allocated seats constantly for any changes to scheduled aircraft.
I had pre-allocated 25B on an international configured 767 (crew rest where 23AB and 24AB are normally) for a SYD-BNE flight in late May and the aircraft has been changed to a 734 this far out.Guess where my pre-allocated seat is now?
And with your luck John they would be Warwick Capper look alikes :shock:I do not want to sit in 25B on a 734. Unless there are 2 gorgeous blonds sitting either side.![]()
I posted this in another thread a while back.
My ritual now is select seat at time of booking, check pre-allocated seat again at T-80, use OLCI to ensure I get best possible economy seat, keep checking OLCI until I get to the airport, use QuickCheck machine, get boarding pass from check-in counter or bag drop. Usually means I get the best possible economy seat for my flight.

You could take this one step further :- Grab BP from lounge dragon on the way in,
Ah-hah, first mistake. Having done the OLCI and got an average seat, you approach the mature age beauty behind the lounge counter, flirt blatantly and ask if there are any nicer seats available. Get it right and she will take your boarding pass and ask you to "come back and see me in ten minutes or so dear". If you bat for the other team, then its mince to the counter with the nice chap.
Misogynists miss out on so much.
Thanks a lot Doc. That does wonders for my expectations. Now I will really be terrified of row 25 on a 734.And with your luck John they would be Warwick Capper look alikes ![]()
No problems-I would still be the hot favourite for the Don Bradman prize no matter what my handicap. Thanks a lot Doc. That does wonders for my expectations. Now I will really be terrified of row 25 on a 734.
By the way I am doing the handicapping for the AFF Golf Challenge at AFF Gathering #4 in Brisbane.![]()

Oh and as a side note, Butter chicken for dinner, thats like the 11th curry in a row for dinner........
I also had butter chicken for dinner, ADL-SYD flight. Seems like it's a curry month or something.
OK, it happend again last night.
Heading back last night on QF459, was booked in 32A with OLCI.
Got to the gate, scanned red, this time i certainly didnt have my hopes up about an op-ip! was told to go over to the main check in check counter at the gate not the little computer next to the scan in points, Was told there was a change of plane so was getting a new seat, no problems at all, was 47B!!!
