Love it how one of the poll options is entitled, "Scandalous". Without surprise, it is holding the majority vote (albeit the sample size is perhaps still questionable). Probably more surprised that 2% have somehow voted that parking was "cheap"; methinks it could possibly be just a goof or shill.

"Parking more expensive than flying?" Yeah that happened ages ago. Give us the old days when flying was a bit more of a luxury and it'll fix itself that way.

I suppose there's not really good ways to get around the airport parking system, otherwise the only people using it would be the suckers (or those with a bottomless expense account).

Was doing the wife's expenses tonight, she had a parking receipt for a touch over 3 hours in the sydney CBD for $81.25 (including cc fee).
I guess the CBD parking garages are limited to how much they can charge based on how much a parking fine costs!

Well considering that (for an AFF example) an overnight F lounge run to MEL (afternoon flight out, morning flight back), would cost an incredible $112 in parking fees (if you just rock up unannounced) at the International Airport car park, it is no wonder there is an abundance of nearby offsite parking stations springing up. - sydney airport car park off site - Google Maps

What would Sydneysiders prefer? An Airport 1.5 hours' train ride out to some far away place? (Wilton...!? :shock I would've thought they are fortunate to have an airport so close to town... I guess it'd be fairly expensive real estate there.

Scandalous is not too far from the mark and there are now 8,196 which I think is more than enough for a poll.
