Just a heads-up to check your bill if you're with 3 (or ever were).

I used to be, ended with them back in September 2010.

However, I got a bill for 75 cents from them today for 3 x SMS messages. Apparently some third party has billed 3 for services not rendered and 3 have just passed on the charges. They're aware of the problem and will refund you no problem, but it sounds like you have to call in to get it. Apparently some accounts have been charged 100's of dollars.

I used to run a lot of premium sms services on my current venture and we constantly had problems with '3' approving transactions for customers that didn't have active connections. They've known about this for years and still not done anything. Since it affects consumers AND premium sms line owners I'm honestly surprised they've not fixed it.
 
One thing that did annoy me on 3 was when they would send a Video msg as advertising.

No problems if you were in Australia, however you would get slugged 50c for them whilst o/s.

Funny enough is that you would always seem to receive them when you were away.
