Has anyone smashed the screen on their iPhone and had it replaced in Sydney?

Other than going to a local phone dealer where the work may be dodgy, can anyone suggest any alternatives? I'll be heading to the apple store tomorrow when I'm back at work I guess.

Has anyone had any dealings with www.fix pod.com.au?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Just pay Apple $200 odd bucks and they will give you a brand new phone out of the box. I've done it twice now! Not genuine screens are not worth the hassle.

There's lots of options including the "local market" to get screens replaced but the quality and longevity of such a fix is average at best most often. Plus a non-genuine replacement obviously voids any warranty you may have remaining. I've heard various levels of success reported from people buying the DIY kits off Ebay as well but you have to be patient/good with your hands :) As per the first reply if you want a reliable fix I'd suggest going to Apple and paying the fee for replacement. Or, sell it on Ebay, the prices I've seen for broken screen iPhones is stupidly high - I guess there's people out there that are prepared to pay as they part them out or refurb them and onsell?
