After collecting your baggage at TBIT arrivals, you generally have to wait in a queue to get to the quarantine and customs before you are in the Land of the Free.

However on either side of the queues are access lines to luggage belts 1-4

I used Conveyor belt 4. Walk up to the right of the queue until you get to Conveyor belt 4. Then wait a bit and then re join the queue at the front of the line.

You may be caught out if no flights have baggage on these satellite conveyors but generally i have found that arriving on the morning these belts are often used as well.

There are also luggage belts to the left of the queue to quarantine and customs.

Yeah ... often QF baggage is on 4.

Another way is to head to the right hand queue and as you go along the RH queue forks into two queues again and again.

Wherever does so, take the one on the right ... (i.e. keep heading right wherever it splits).
