Skywest will begin a three times weekly service between Melbourne and Kalgoorlie from November 21.
Chief executive Paul Daff, describing the move as an “exciting chapter” for the carrier, said it would appeal to the mining and corporates in both locations as well as stimulating tourism.
Skywest will operate twoclass 100-seat Fokker 100 aircraft on the route.
Special fares of $250 one-way are available for bookings until September 9.
