SkyTeam Status Match - ITA Airways

Mine was approved and now reflects in my account as well.

I only used a screen shot of the Volare app for proof, but changed my address on the account prior to submitting.

Interestingly, my wife received a rejection for the status match mentioning "status not achieved through flying" for the Club Premium status I gifted her when I received my initial status match of Club Executive. So any gifted status I assume would be treated as such.

Yes - prior to the match I was basically c/o- my favourite hotel near Mayfair, and remained as such until about midnight last night, when I quickly travelled back to Sydney

I relocated from El Segundo* back to SYD after the approval email arrived.

*thats another take on the “El Segundo” method - with reverse pike!

Unfortunately despite my move, my match wasn't accepted . Wish I had the physical ITA card

Yes, maybe use a VPN to "move" to the country of residence.

Also, remove any EXIF data from your images.

I didn't go that deep - LH account reflected the location I applied from in the match form; photo of physical card provided. Sometimes the VPN IPs are flagged, so can be as problematic as being in the wrong place, depending on who's filtering

Got mine approved. Only managed to use the ITA status once on an Air France flight (lounge + a free bag). The *G status will be much more useful.

It would have been a cracker if it was a VA partner!

I’ll be using mine in a few weeks flying SQ booked with VA points (short intra Asia hop). Might come in handy running down the remainder of my VA points.

I've got VA Plat until Aug next year and then will let it drop to Gold meaning VAs covered for me until Aug 2027. Additionally my QF Plat (OWE) is locked with enough bookings to Feb 2027 and now this LH*G until Feb 2027.

Ironically Skyteam status is the missing one.

I should have been more specific about those of us jumping ship from VA.

Some here would be clutching their pearls and screaming unfair that some peeps were getting VA lounge access without BIS flying at $12 / SC (or whatever it is )…
