Singapore Airlines has begun resuming A380 flights following precautionary checks. The checks were carried out following advice from engine manufacturer Rolls Royce and aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
The following flights have departed (all times local):
- SQ345, Zurich – Singapore, departed at 1805 hrs. It was originally scheduled to depart at 1055hrs.
- SQ333, Paris – Singapore, departed at 1728 hrs. It was originally scheduled to depart at 1115hrs. /li>
- SQ322, Singapore – London, departed at 0250 hrs (5 Nov). It was originally scheduled to depart at 2330 hrs (4 Nov).
- SQ334, Singapore - Paris, departed at 0352 hrs (5 Nov). It was originally scheduled to depart at 2340 hrs (4 Nov).
- SQ346, Singapore - Zurich, departed at 0410 hrs (5 Nov). It was originally scheduled to depart at 0120 hrs (5 Nov).
The following flights are scheduled to depart in the next few hours:
- SQ317, London - Singapore, is scheduled to depart at 1600hrs.
- SQ638, Singapore – Tokyo (Narita), is scheduled to depart at 0545hrs.
- SQ231, Singapore – Sydney, is scheduled to depart at 0545hrs.
The following flights were originally scheduled to be operated by A380 aircraft but was served by a Boeing 777-300 aircraft instead in order to minimize disruption to customers:
- SQ221, Singapore - Sydney, departed at 0301 hrs (5 Nov). It was originally scheduled to depart at 2035hrs (4 Nov).
- SQ227, Singapore - Melbourne, departed at 0105hrs (5 Nov). It was originally scheduled to depart at 2100hrs (4 Nov).
The situation remains fluid, and we are working to complete precautionary technical checks before returning all our A380 aircraft to service.
