After going through Singapore 30 plus times.. I need to hang out overnight for conex the next morning. Arrive at 2045..and leave 0700.

Is the internal Ambassodor Hotel worth a look.. or something to stay away from... as only need to be in Singapore 8 hours.

If not where to.. and what would time would need to allow to get back into Airport?

Cannot miss connection next morning as will throw out meetings on the Monday

thanx

question?

I would stay at the hotel airside at the airport. I have stayed there a couple of times; the rooms are fairly small but perfectly ok for a 9pm arrival / 7 am departure.

Haven't stayed there personally, but I have heard good reviews of it. For such a short time, you really only want somewhere convenient, clean and comfortable to sleep - I think it meets all those criteria.

Book very early though - the transit hotel is usually very heavily booked.

For a 10 hour transit I'd stay at hotel in the city centre. It doesn't take long to get to & from, at that hour of day at least. I allow 30 odd minutes to get back - actual time usually around 15 minutes from Suntec area, plus a margin for unexpected delays. Add to that time for check in close (if not already checked in), a couple of minutes for immigration and time to relax in lounge and I get 90 minutes before departure.

If you have access to SQ SKL that lounge is overnight and has slumberettes. But I tend to use these for shorter overnight connections - 10 hours is long enough to leave the airport and get a comfier bed.

thank you for the feedback... having been through so many times I would have liked to ventured out to the city... but this time round.. thinking I might stay inside with the shorter turn around.

question?

If the transit hotel unavailable maybe Le Meridien Changi Village would be worth considering (although I guess not much difference in transfer time to there vs time to the city). I have never stayed there, but a colleague who did was impressed. I would be interested to hear though if anyone on AFF has stayed there.

Yep, been there, beds are firm but comfortable (i like firm beds)
Nice hotel for a transit and closer to the airport, also have a free shuttle to the hotel. (I just took the taxi last time anyway)
