Singapore (SIN) Stopover Tips

just to add something that may be of use some time ...

Our last Singapore stopover we stayed at Oasia Hotel downtown.
It was a combination of trying a new place and noting their Club level room had option of a 4pm checkout.
We arrived SIN on QF1 around 9pm, and had 24 hours before taking Finnair to Helsinki, also around 9pm departure. No lounge access for us at Changi, so we were not keen on a standard 12 noon checkout.
The 4pm checkout worked well as we wanted to check out the Jewel at the airport. Checked our bags there, had a look round and dinner before heading into the departures.

Oasia is very close to Tanjong Pagar MRT.
The room was as expected and there was a very nice pool area for the club rooms.
Maxwell hawker food centre is a short walk, with plenty of other options if that is not your prefernce.
More of Chinatown &/or Boat Quay is a little further if you like that.

Next time we will do 2 nights, to make it a bit more leisurely and enjoy one evening of complimentary coughtails and canapes .

We recently stayed at the Sofitel next door. It’s literally on top of the MRT. The A+ Red Hot room rate was very good.
