Hmm, maybe staying just over the border in Malaysia may be a better idea and less hassle if you're around that weekend!)

Batam or Bintan, Indonesia is another option, 30-45 minute ferry trip.

Must add that Singapore will be hosting the first ever F1 "night" race so will be definitely something to see if you're a keen F1 fan........

I already have flights booked and will stay with family living in SGP...... now just need to wait for the tickets to go on sale.........

Sounds like fun if you have to be there for work though!

A few colleagues have accommodation booked for work in Melbourne during the F1GP, so I'm heading down with a mate from work to enjoy the action. F1, V8 Supercars, FA/18s and KISS? What's not to like?

Not really a huge F1 fan (I'm into all forms of motorsport apart from F1, really), but I'm sure it'll be a top weekend.

Ah, those were the days, as my memories flooded back at flying to SIN some years back, staying with friends (like Alanslegal) and then driving to the Malaysian F1 in his Holden Commodore (yes, friend had his shipped to SIN). Got a couple of looks from Aussies who couldn't believe what they were seeing...but also remember getting pulled up by the corrupt Malaysian cops and paying a bribe to "pass go".
